A series of pre-match gigs are being set up around the country.

This weekend (January 5th) sees the one of the most anticipated dates in the footballing calendar, the FA Cup third round.

However, while teams all round England will be gearing up for the big match on Saturday, musicians will also be harbouring ambitions of making it to the final at Wembley Stadium on May 11th.

The FA is launching a music contest to find an official track for the showpiece event at the end of the season and the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Devlin and The Pigeon Detectives among others are all looking to scoop the prize.

Bizzle is set to make his FA Cup debut live on television ahead of the match between West Ham United and Manchester United at Upton Park performing his track Not A Saint alongside co-artists Vato Gonzalez and Donae'o.

"It's a special competition and I'm made up to be a part of it, and hopefully I can become part of its history by producing the official FA Cup Anthem. To have my music open the FA Cup final really would be a dream come true," Bizzle told FATV.
