Danny O'Donoghue tearful during Script show
The Script's Danny O' Donoghue was overcome with emotion as the Irish trio played London's Roundhouse last night (12.07.11).
The 'Science and Faith' hitmakers wowed the audience at the historic north London venue as part of the iTunes festival with a crowd-pleasing set including hits 'Rusty Halo', 'Before The Worst' and 'We Cry' while lead singer Danny had tears in his eyes after the audience joined in for a rousing rendition of 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'.
However, there were some laughs as guitarist Mark Sheehan revealed the single 'Nothing' was inspired by the frontman's tendency to "drunk dial after a few glasses of wine".
The band - which also includes drummer Glen Power - ended their hour-and-a-half set with 'For The First Time' and 'Breakeven' and as his bandmates left the stage, Danny couldn't resist encouraging the audience to sing one more verse.
Support act Loick Essien warmed up the crowd with a selection of songs including his new release 'How We Roll' featuring Tanya Lacey.
The iTunes festival runs throughout July and future shows include Coldplay, The Wanted and James Morrison.
Tickets are free and distributed via the iTunes Festival website.Posted on 13 Jul 2011 16:15 to category : Band / Celebrity News
