Dappy: N-Dubz will split in two years

Dappy has revealed that N-Dubz's pop reign will come to an end in two years.

In an announcement that is set to break the hearts of teenagers all over the UK, Dappy has revealed that N-Dubz will split in the next two years. The pint-sized rapper who is currently promoting his hip-hop influenced song No Regrets, which comes out on September 19th, said that he and the urban-pop band members collectively decided it was time to really focus on their solo careers and put N-Dubz on the backburner. Although they're currently on a break, with Tulisa Contostavlos working her magic as a judge on the X Factor, and Fazer making efforts to get his own solo music kick started, the band still want to release more music as an outfit, including a greatest hits album. Speaking to the Mirror, Dappy said: "We may release some stuff every six months but it will definitely be quieter. Then at the end of that period, we will do a greatest hits or best of N-Dubz. That'll be it: finished." He went on to say that he was looking forward to pursuing life as a solo artist, especially in collaborating with other music stars, including Rihanna. "You don't ever release an album when a label says you should release it," he said. "I release it when I feel the buzz is ready."
