Dave Grohl: We suck
The music legend, who once played as a drummer in Nirvana, told Billboard that at the heart of it, the Foo Fighters were a simple band.
"We think we suck and we try really hard to make good records and we practice," he explained.
"We don't feel like the biggest, best band in the world. We just feel like the same five dorks that were touring in a van 17 years ago, that hasn't changed."
Last month, writing on the band's official blog, Grohl thanked his fans for making Wasting Light the "most incredible album experience" in the Foo Fighters' entire history.
"The fact that a rock and roll record, made in a garage, completely analogue to tape with no help from computers, could be a number one album around the world, and get a Grammy nomination...well...these days that's no small feat," he said.
Grohl recently claimed that if all albums were to the quality of Adele's 21, the music business would be "on fire".
