Drum festival to be held for Teenage Cancer Trust
A host of professional musicians are to get behind their drum kits in order to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust next year.
The Jordan Terris Drum Festival is to take place in Nuneaton on February 27th 2011 and has been named after a talented young drummer who died of cancer at the age of 15 in 2007.
To celebrate his memory and help raise money for charity, masterclasses and drum clinics will be hosted by the likes of Mike Dolbear, Steve White and Grant Kershaw. Jordan's stepfather Kevin said the teenager would have been proud such an event had been organised in his honour and expressed his hope the day will be a big success.
As part of the work of the Teenage Cancer Trust, money is allocated for the creation of specialist units in NHS hospitals which provide treatment and support to adolescents who have the condition.
