Dunlop Celebrates Hendrix's 70th Birthday with Limited Edition Pedal Releases
The three pedals will be pedalboard-friendly and have a design inspired by rock artist John Van Hamersveld, who was responsible for one of the most iconic images of Hendrix, the psychedelic 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster.
The Jimi Hendrix Signature CryBaby pedal with an illustrated design on the tread will make up the 70th Anniversary Series, which will have a limited one-time production run this year.
Jim Dunlop have crafted the pedals to be loyal to the old-school tone of the originals but with extra added features such as On/Off LEDs, true bypass switching and 9-volt power jacks.
The series will allow guitar players to own a little piece of Hendrix history and carry on his legacy by possessing the tools used on tracks like 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)', 'Purple Haze' and 'Up From the Skies'.
The four pedals will be available seperately on Gear4music.com from November.
