Eiffel Tower turned into huge drum kit
However, the famous Parisian tower has become a percussion instrument as part of composer Joseph Bertolozzi's latest project.
The structure is the focal point of the US music maestro's "Tower music" to create a truly innovative and unique composition.
Bertolozzi has been recording sounds from the 324-metre tower since May 27th collecting nearly 2,000 samples by hitting the structure with latex mallets, drumsticks and, at one point, a large log wrapped in lambs wool.
He is aiming to bring them together and then put chords and melodies over a percussion bases for his his album, due out in 2014.
Speaking about the project, Bertolozzi told Reuters: "My wife was mimicking the way I play my percussion with my arms flailing and everything. She was near a poster of the Eiffel Tower, took a swing at it and she went 'Bong!"
Bertolozzi is one of the most renowned composers in the world and has previously wrote pieces for major brands such as Playstation.
