Ellie Goulding praises producer
Acoustic guitar player Ellie Goulding has hailed her producer's ability to interpret her musical ideas.
The 21-year-old is already making quite a name for herself in the music industry, as she recently won the Critics' Choice gong at the Brit Awards and was included on the BBC's Sound of 2010 list.
However, she told the Daily Star that much of her success comes down to her producer Fin Dow-Smith, also known as Starsmith.
"Though I write on guitar, I hear the entire sound of songs in my head," Goulding commented.
"And Fin is someone who understands."
The singer is currently gearing up to release her debut album Lights in March 2010, which will include the singles Under The Sheets and Starry Eyed.
Goulding revealed that the songs on the record were written over a two-year period and were mostly recorded in Starsmith's bedroom.
Speaking to NME, she added that lots of the songs are very personal to her, as the lyrics are about romantic victories and failures.Posted on 7 Jan 2010 12:09 to category : Band / Celebrity News
