Eminem puts family before 50
Eminem nearly joined 50 Cent on tour.
The 'Candy Shop' rapper has revealed his pal - who has children Alaina, 17, Hailie, 14, and Whitney, 7 - wanted to meet up with him in Detroit but was too busy with family commitments.
He has revealed that Eminem wanted to join him during his Detroit dates of his 'Invitation' tour.
Speaking to MTV News, 50 said: "Eminem wanted to come to my performance in Detroit. He was on baby watch. He was like, 'Yo, I wanna come out there, but I gotta stay. Hailie and them looking at me now.' He had to get off the phone, he was like, 'We have to go.' "
Despite being unable to meet in person, Eminem, who discovered 50 - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - before he signed to Interscope Records and produced his first album, still found the time to discuss his former protegee's future plans.
50 added: "We talked for a little bit - he was trying to figure when he could expect my next record. Em was like, 'Do like I make my records, like Dre makes his records. Put it out when you feel happy with it 100 percent.' "Posted on 10 Jun 2010 16:30 to category : Music News
