br /> The Mayor's Rhythm of London Busking Underground initiative recently invited people aged between 16 and 25 the chance to win a 20-minute busking slot at a Tube station.

Clips of these performances have now been uploaded to the internet, where viewers can vote for their favourite acts.

A panel of judges will then pick ten artists from those who receive the most votes, who will go on to participate in a live Busk-off at the O2's IndigO2 in Greenwich next month.

They will be able to win prizes including the Epiphone acoustic guitar and a Fender Precision Bass donated and signed by former Police frontman Sting.

City mayor Boris Johnson commented: "London is known around the world for the fantastic music produced here and these young musicians show our city is bubbling with talent."

He added that musical ability in the capital should be "cherished" and "nurtured".
