Eurovision 2012: Jedward for final
The duo - alias twin brothers Edward Grimes and John Grimes - already represented Ireland for the competition last year, with the song Lipstick.
They also released a version of Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) shortly after completing their run on ITV1's The X Factor, scoring a number two UK hit.
The pair's 2012 Eurovision song, which will now appear in the final, is called Waterline.
The song's semi-final staging last night featured an impressive fountain-like water feature which the pair sung within. They also engaged in some cartwheels for good measure.
The UK's contribution for 2012's final, meanwhile, comes from crooner Engelbert Humperdinck and the song Love Will Set You Free.
While appearing on The X Factor – which no doubt provided a great training ground for the challenge of live Eurovision performance – Jedward (or John and Edward as they were usually known at the competition's outset) sang the likes of Britney Spears' Oops!...I Did It Again.
