Evanescence bass guitarist heartbroken over stolen instrument
Tim McCord's Yamaha bass guitar, along with other possessions, was taken from the home he shares with his girlfriend Ashley Dunlop when the couple were away.
McCord is especially distraught because the musical instrument was of sentimental value, having been handed down to him after his father passed away.
Ms Dunlop told abc7: "It took me a minute to try and piece it together ... the very first thing I noticed was that Tim's bass was gone, and my heart just stopped because I knew he'd be devastated when I told him.
"I know how much this means to him so I'm trying to do absolutely everything I can to get it back,"
McCord and the police have issued a description of the bass guitar and a reward is offered to anyone who has vital information about its whereabouts.
Evanescence are currently on tour in Japan, playing hits from all three of their studio albums.
