Evening of Robin Gibb shows for BBC 2
Bee Gees fans may well already have spotted several programmes dedicated to the singer and his band that have gone out on Radio 2 and BBC One.
BBC 2 will see show Robin Gibb: Me And My Songs this coming Saturday, at the start of the Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, kicking off a run of shows related to the star Featuring past performances and an interview with the singer from early last year, it will air at 10.05pm.
Following straight after, an edition of the popular Top of the Pops 2 programme from back in 2001 takes the form of a "Bee Gees Special".
Then famed bands and artists such as Steps and Take That and Al Green appear in the programme Sings Bee Gees. Featuring archive material of these acts and more, it kicks off at 11.20pm.
The Bee Gees' many UK hits include such iconic numbers as How Deep Is Your Love (later recorded by Take That as their last single before they split temporarily in 1996) and Words (covered by Take That's fellow boy band Boyzone later in the same year).
