Ex-Smashing Pumpkins guitarist joins new band
Ex-Smashing Pumpkins member James Iha has joined a new musical outfit, it has been revealed.
The musician, who played guitar with the band, has become part of the newly-formed Tinted Windows, NME.com reports.
Known as the quiet one in the Smashing Pumpkins, Iha played a range of instruments, including a Les Paul Custom guitar.
He has now joined Cheap Trick drummer Bun E Carlos, Taylor Hanson and Adam Schlesinger, the bassist from Fountains Of Wayne, for his latest musical venture.
Tinted Windows have already recorded their first album and are set to make their first publicised performance in the US later this year.
Billboard reports that the album was recorded at Stratosphere Sound Studios in New York, which is co-owned by Schlesinger and Iha.
The source adds that a spring release is planned for the offering.
