Exhibition showing weapons as musical instruments opens
Pedro Reyes saw a variety of criminal violence in his homeland and the Mexican government has held a number of amnesties and gone on to decommission the weaponry.
After this was done the handguns were converted into musical instruments, as Mr Reyes tried to make them have a positive rather than disastrous impact on people's lives.
The exhibition, entitled Disarm, is taking place at the Lisson Gallery in London and features a number of assault rifle clips made into a guitar and the use of pistols to create the base of a xylophone.
Unfortunately, visitors will not be able to practice on the instruments, but their output will be played via speakers throughout the exhibition.
The exhibition will be in place at the gallery until May 4th.
