Fender's Bassman amps aim to bring retro Fender bass tones of the 1950s to today's bassists.

This month, the range received great praise from Guitar & Bass Magazine.

For medium-sized gigs and rehearsals, you need not to look further than the Bassman TV Ten.

This hybrid amplifier has definitely been built with a plug-in and play attitude in mind.

The control panel may be simple, but it enables the user to easily customize his or her own tone.

Whilst looking at the tones produced from the TV Ten, Guitar & Bass Magazine's reviewer commented:

"Set all three tone controls centrally and you get a full-fat sound with beautiful warmth and clarity."

Small tweeks then enable the user to darken or brighten their tone as they wish.

Overall, the whole range of new Bassman amplifiers impressed. In the words of Guitar & Bass Magazine's reviewer:

"If you're looking for the perfect retro-appointed combo with authentic sounds, Fender may well have answered your prayers with the TV Series combos."

Another amp that impressed and proved to be stiff competition within this category of amplifier was the White HorseBP150.

Guitar & Bass Magazine's reviewer described the BP150 as an amp that offers "superb value for money" and that has an "easy to use, versatile EQ".
