Fender reveals Jaguar Bass Special SS guitar

Musikmesse 2011
Great deals on musical instruments

Fender has unveiled its new Jaguar Bass Special SS guitar at the Musikmesse 2011 conference in Frankfurt.

Squier by Fender showcased the new bass guitar at the industry event, outlining its various distinctive features.

The musical instrument combines the versatile nature, great sounds and good looks associated with the Squier brand with classic Fender design.

It makes use of a single-coil Precision Bass middle pickup paired with a Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup, while it also has a fast-action 30-inch scale neck.

The short-scale instrument is suited to people starting out on the bass guitar, while is also manufactured to please musicians who prefer the comfort offered by more diminutive instruments.

One of the benefits of the Jaguar Bass Special SS is its affordability, with Fender setting a recommended retail price of £251 for the guitar.

Fender is just one of the many exhibitors showcasing new products and ranges at Musikmesse at the moment.

Orange and Yamaha are among the big names displaying their wares, while Gibson is taking the opportunity to give attendees the opportunity to view the new Firebird X at first-hand.

The company has described it as the "most technically advanced guitar ever".
