Five-necked electric guitar played at Classic Rock Awards
A specially-made electric guitar with five necks was one of the stars of the show at last week's Classic Rock Awards.
The unusual instrument was played by Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick in front of the audience at the Roundhouse in London, reports the Sun.
Nielsen's use of the electric guitar was part of an eventful night that saw Slash pick up the prize for album of the year ahead of the likes of Kiss and Iron Maiden.
Another winner at the ceremony was AC/DC, who were named as band of the year at the bash.
Led Zeppelin star John Paul Jones was also recognised by his peers at the award ceremony, being honoured with the Outstanding Contribution prize.
Scott Rowley, editor-in-chief of Classic Rock, said the popularity of this year's winners in terms of concert tickets and record sales offered proof that "rock music is still the most exciting genre in music".
