Florence Welch's pyjama nightmare
Florence Welch keeps having nightmares about going to the BRIT awards in her pyjamas.
The 'Rabbit Heart' singer said she is so nervous she keeps having strange dreams about the forthcoming awards show - which happens next Tuesday (16.02.10) - and has been having weird dreams.
She said: "You know when you are really nervous, like you have got an exam? I'm having anxious dreams where I imagine I'm, like, there and I don't know where to go and somebody points me to an exit, and then I find I'm running down the red carpet in my pyjamas."
Florence - who sings under stage name Florence And The Machine - collected the BRITs Critic's Choice award last year and is up for another three this year; British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British Album, and said she is much less nervous about appearing this year than an a relative unknown at last year's show.
She added to Britain's Radio 1: "I was scared the whole event, it'll be nice to sit back and be a little more relaxed. Until you're sitting there and they're reading what the nominations are, it doesn't sink in."
Florence will also perform at the show with rapper Dizzee Rascal, on a one-off special track, mixing her cover of Candi Staton's hit 'You Got The Love' with Dizzee's 'Dirty Cash'.
The BRITs has a longstanding tradition of collaborations, and this year for the first time the track will be available to download after the show.
Florence added: "I've got a couple of things in mind to wear - there've been some talks with Dizzee on colour collaborations for our performance."Posted on 12 Feb 2010 16:15 to category : Band / Celebrity News
