Florence and the Machine 'planning to begin recording in October'
Florence and the Machine are to return to the studio in October, it has been revealed.
She explained to BBC 6 Music that her group plans to start work on new material in the autumn, following a summer of festival dates and a short break in September.
Welch and the band are planning to reunite with producers Paul Epworth and James Ford, who helped Florence and the Machine put together their debut record Lungs.
Earlier this year, the band's frontwoman Florence Welsh told NME that she is planning to play the electric guitar on the record, as she did on earlier songs such as debut single Kiss With a Fist.
"The guitar is coming back - I've gone full circle," she said.
Welch explained that it is likely there will be a "much stronger" guitar sound to the band's second record.
She added that she was enjoying the creative process of writing new songs.
