Foo Fighters set for Wembley Arena date
Electric guitar band Foo Fighters have been booked to headline a special show at Wembley Arena next month.
The rockers are to take to the stage at the venue on February 25th for the NME Big Gig, which will also feature performances from Cee Lo Green, No Age and Band Of Horses.
Looking ahead to the show, the band's frontman and electric guitar player Dave Grohl said the group always work hard to give their fans a memorable experience when they play live.
"There's nothing better than seeing that person with that instrument doing it right there in front of you," he stated.
The gig is taking place two days after the Shockwaves NME Awards, where Grohl is to be presented with a Godlike Genius accolade from the music magazine.
Earlier this week, the band released a short preview clip of one of the tracks from their forthcoming album via social networking site Twitter.
Foo Fighters finished work on the new record earlier this month and are likely to preview some of the new songs at their Wembley gig.
The group have also been booked to headline the Isle of Wight Festival later this year.
