Foo Fighters to perform at NME Awards
Foo Fighters and My Chemical Romance have been lined up to play at the NME Awards ceremony.
The American bands will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities to a London crowd.
Held at the O2 Academy Brixton, the event will take place on February 23rd and some of the biggest names in the industry are expected to be there.
As well as performing, Dave Grohl - lead singer of Foo Fighters - will be picking up the Godlike Genius accolade for his services to music.
Before singing and playing electric guitar with the band, he was on drums for the seminal 90s grunge rockers Nirvana.
Foo Fighters are due to release their seventh studio album in 2011, which was recorded in Grohl's garage.
My Chemical Romance recently released a special version of their current album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, which may be in demand as only 2,500 copies will be available worldwide.
As well as performing at the show, My Chemical Romance are also set for dates in Manchester and Cardiff.
Arcade Fire, Foals and Kasabian are among the acts who are up for prizes at the ceremony.
