Foster the People debating whether to work with Kenny G or not
Foster The People have revealed that they are reconsidering whether they want to record music with Kenny G, after the saxophone player was featured in Katy Perry's new music video.
The band, who hail from the sunny heights of Los Angeles, told MTV News that they felt they would now be settling for "sloppy seconds" after the saxophonist appeared in Last Friday Night, which is the fifth single from Perry's latest album.
Mark Foster, the band's singer said: "We were all really bummed out when we found out that Katy Perry put him in her video, because we had been talking about that for a year — bringing Kenny G into the fold and writing something with him."
In a revealing interview, Foster explained the sensitive message behind their track Pumped Up Kicks.
He said it was a about bullying and the "tragedy it produces".
The band, who formed in 2007, released their debut album Torches last month.
They are set to have a busy summer ahead of them in the UK performing at Lovebox, Latitude, Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.
