Francis Rossi 'loves Muse to death'
Electric guitar player Francis Rossi is the latest veteran rocker to emerge as a fan of Muse.
Brian May of Queen this week told the BBC that Muse are "extraordinary" musicians and that he rates their new album The Resistance very highly.
Now Status Quo's frontman has expressed his admiration for the band, saying: "I love them to death".
Speaking to Undercover Music, Rossi stated that Muse make an "incredible noise" but in a very controlled way.
"It is phenomenal in itself the way they manage to stick a melody in there every time," the Fender Telecaster player said.
Of course, Muse have previously expressed their admiration for Status Quo by playing their 1988 hit single Burning Bridges on stage.
Rossi admitted he is surprised that some younger bands are citing Quo as an inspiration.
