Freshman Open Plains Acoustic Guitars Praised
Freshman FOP1DN And FOP30N acoustic guitars have been praised in this months issue of guitar and bass magazine scoring a whopping 84% out of a 100% overall.
Despite already having 100 flat-top acoustic and electro models in its catalogue, Freshman clearly reckon there's room for more, as it's just added the Open Plains Series.
This concise six strong line-up, based on dreadnoughts and auditoriums and purely acoustic, is aimed at keeping things clean and simple concentrating on the essentials but not overlooking some cosmetic finery.
"Mahogany binding around the back, front and along the fingerboard gives a warm, well-matched look."
The fairly wide-grained front is a clean looking example; the outer veneers of the back and sides are well chosen, with attractively speckly, even graining.
"FOP1DN's elegant headstock is faced in rosewood and carries six sealed tuners."
Overall you won't need a pickup on the prairie, and freshman's open plains guitars are pure acoustic with prices to suit both cowhands and ranchers. "Descent dread strummage, attractively clean looks, nice neck."Posted on 21 Apr 2010 16:17 to category : Instruments News
