From coma to piano, one woman's remarkable recovery
When she lapsed into a coma, doctors had thought that Angela Whyte would never wake up, reported the Scottish Sun.
However, after a few days, there was the faint glimmer of hope as she opened her eyes to the world again.
Doctors then thought the 27-year-old would be paralysed for life, unable to do basic tasks like feed and dress herself because of brain damage.
But, proving to be a resilient soul, six months on she is able to perform small tasks and is enjoying being at the piano again.
"I'm getting through it. I'm a fighter and I always have been," she told the newspaper.
"I just love music and playing the piano. It helps me to relax and to concentrate."
