New Takamine guitars, live performances along, a historic insight along with a meet and greet with two of the company’s key members were all on the agenda as Korg UK officially announce exclusive distribution of the legendary guitar brand in the UK and ROI.

At the event which took place at the Stables Milton Keynes, retailers, including Gear4music, had the chance to try numerous guitars across the company’s G-Series and Pro Series instruments as well as being enlightened by some amazing looking and sounding products to be officially revealed in 2016.

Takamine Director / General Manager, Makoto Terasaki and International Business Manager, Daisuke Uegaki, were also on hand to give a fantastic and thorough history of the company, which began in 1959. As well as elaborating on the intricacies of the manufacturing process of the pro series guitars crafted in Japan.

Guitars in the Pro Series are setup professionally with asymmetrical C-shaped necks for comfort during longer playing times and performances, and the laser-guided precision used in the fret finishing process for tonal clarity.

One Lone Boy and Hayley McKay also performed several numbers each to cap a fantastic event.

The Takamine brand is dubbed as the ‘hardest working guitar’ has a number of high profile endorsers such as Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Glenn Frey (The Eagles), Bruno Mars, Garth Brooks and more.
