Promising Open Mic artist chooses Gear4music guitars
Great Deals on Acoustic Guitars
James Clode, a rising star in Open Mic UK 2011, is using a Gear4music guitar to take him to the finals of the competition at The O2 in London. Using a Single Cutaway Acoustic Guitar and Blues Harmonica set by Gear4music, James has already got through to the Regional Finals of this year's competition. Previously James has made it through to the finals of two other competitions, so expectations are high for him in Open Mic UK 2011. Open Mic UK 2011 is a national talent competition that searches for the best singer-songwriters, rappers and vocalists who perform either covers or originals. It's a great opportunity for open mic acts to get heard, and gives them the chance to win a breakthrough recording contract, as well as a share of over £50,000 in prizes. James told us that the Single Cutaway has "gotten me through two major singer-songwriter competitions and this will be the third." He carries on uses the Gear4music guitar time and again as "it really enables me to do so much with just one instrument. The sound produced is crisp and clean. For £69.99 it's an absolute steal." Last year's under 16s winner, Hatty Keane, has been signed to BGM Music. The overall runner up of the competition, Hatty has been featured across a wide range of media, and performed live alongside Tinchy Stryder and Roll Deep. The next step for James is the Regional Final at Cardiff's Coal Exchange on Saturday 8th October, which should hopefully see him progress to the Grand Finals on Saturday 21st January 2012.
