Gibson announces launch of new bass guitar
The sleek axe guitar, coated in a shiny Pelham Blue finish, is the result of a combination of Gibson guitars as a source of inspiration. Primarily using the slab body of a Les Paul Junior guitar and the original 1960 EB-0 bass, this version packs an equally mighty punch than other guitars in the range.
The small-scale guitar, which is made from solid mahogany, is able to deliver a multitude of tones and styles, which is why it has been used successfully across a wide range of musical genres like the blues, pop and rock.
It looks great too, especially with its Glover shamrock shaped key-tuners giving it a cheeky rock and roll edge. It will cost around $1,229 (£751).
Some famous musicians who have used Gibson bass guitars include Sir Paul McCartney of the Beatles, John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Jack Bruce of Cream and John Entwistle from the Who.Posted on 10 May 2011 15:43 to category : Instruments News
