Gibson introduces the Limited Edition Les Paul Tribute
The latest axe from the long line of famous models is a recreation of the very first Les Paul that was put into production. It features a specially-adapted bridge which has been made to the specification of Les Paul himself.
This signature model also contains an all-gold finish on the top, back and neck, which is a rarity that was a prominent feature on some guitars produced in the early years of the company.
Gibson's limited edition guitar will become a collector's item for many, with a maple headstock veneer carrying a laser-etched logo and Les Paul portrait. The legendary guitarist's real signature, Lester William Polsfuss, will also adorn the instrument, making it a rare piece of memorabilia.
The production of the Les Paul Tribute has been strictly limited to 400 guitars. Each one will come with a textured brown hardshell case with a custom fleece interior.
2013 is Gibson's Year of the Les Paul and the company has already announced a range of guitars for the year including the Les Paul Signature 'T'.
