Glastonbury organiser 'to pull out all the stops next year'
One of the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival has promised to "pull out all the stops" in 2010.
Glastonbury revellers were treated to electric guitar hero Bruce Springsteen this year and legendary rockers The Rolling Stones are already being tipped by some to headline the festival next summer.
Tickets sold out in less than 24 hours, even though no big names have yet been announced.
Emily Eavis has hailed this as a great display of faith in her ability to stage a top-quality event and has therefore pledged to make it as good as possible.
Speaking to NME, Emily Eavis said: "To be honest, it's what we've been doing for next year anyway, but it's a good reminder."
She added that she was "shocked and surprised" to see how quickly the tickets sold, as it took a few months to sell out last year.
William Hill has put 4/1 odds on The Rolling Stones headlining the event, and 8/1 on Coldplay.Posted on 6 Oct 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
