The Great British Guitar Show will showcase talent that does justice to this ever-popular musical instrument in Birmingham later this month.

With 25 years worth of experience in the music industry, a seasoned band of professionals have joined forces to deliver a music extravaganza dedicated to the art of guitar playing.

The philosophy of the show is based on one simple notion: "It's all about the gear".

As such, the event isn't just about big names or so-called Guitar Gods.

It will instead showcase some of the best guitars around, be a venue for live music from those who know how to handle an axe, and a place for people to network and chat about the thing they love the most.

Finally confirmed for the show is Bernie Marsden, a virtuoso guitarist who is well respected.

"We're really pleased at the line-up for the first GBGS, featuring as it does some of the best talent the UK has to offer," said show manager Jason Hunt.

"Bernie is always a great draw and with his new PRS signature guitar just launched, we're really pleased to have him join us. He completes a group of artists that really do offer something for all visitors, whether they're fans of metal, blues or acoustic guitar playing."
