Guitar once played by Beatles members goes under the hammer
The VOX custom-built instrument was used by The Beatles members during the Magical Mystery Tour period which represented one of the most successful points in the band's career.
Harrsion played the guitar to practice the classic track I Am The Walrus while Lennon used it in a video session for Hello, Goodbye.
Julien's Auctions, the company that will put the axe under the hammer, expects the piece of memorabilia to fetch between $200,000 (£131,708) and $300,000 when collectors come to bid for it.
Martin Nolan, executive director of the company, explained that the guitar is "one of the most historic pieces of music memorabilia" that has ever been offered to the auction house.
Collectors all over the world will be looking to get their hands on the instrument from the late members of the Fab Four. Only Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr remain from the iconic band following Lennon and Harrison's deaths in 1980 and 2001 respectively.
