Guitar teacher told to pack his bags

A guitar teacher has been told he can't teach music in the room he's used for 12 years.
Musician told he can't use his room anymore
A loyal guitar teacher is upset that he will no longer be able to train aspiring musicians after being 'forced' out of his practice room.

Kingsley Wass, from Creswell, had spent an amazing 12 years in the room, teaching wannabe guitarists the tools of the trade, before being told by the parish council he had to go, reported the Gainsborough Standard.

Mr Wass was told that the council was losing money on his sessions, a claim he rebuked.

"I don't make any money off the guitar club. My students' fees goes toward the room hire which is only £12 per 90 minute session," he told the newspaper.

"I don't understand why they have suddenly turned round and said I can't use the room after all these years."

After conducting an inventory and survey of the council's income and expenditure, it was decided that Mr Wass' activities were seen as costing them too much money to sustain.

Over the course of 12 years, Mr Wass has taught hundreds of students the skills needed to play a guitar, which he described as a valuable service to the community.
