Guitars On The Beach Returns for 2014
Last year's record attempt took place on the beach at Lyme Regis, where 2,267 people brought along their guitars to set the record for Britain's biggest band, playing Buddy Holly's Rave On as one.
This year, on 6th September, the crowds will gather once more on the beach to see if they can set a new world record with the same song. They will be joined by Deep Purple's Ian Gillan who's taking a break from their US tour, promising to sing Smoke on the Water as the crowds play along.
Other songs added to the list include Status Quo's Rocking All Over the World, 500 Miles by the Proclaimers and Lynyrd Skynryd's Sweet Home Alabama.
Promising to be even bigger than last year's event, Guitars On The Beach 2, still sponsored by Fender, will feature food stalls and buskers all around the town.
To sign up for the encore attempt and see tabs for the included songs, please visit the Guitars On The Beach website.
