Hard-Fi 'enjoying music' again

Hard-Fi lead singer Richard Archer says the band are ''enjoying music'' again four years after their last album release.

Hard-Fi took four years to make their third album because they wanted it to be perfect.

The 'Hard to Beat' hitmakers' are glad they spent a long time perfecting 'Killer Sounds', rather than making something "half-arsed" more quickly.

Singer Richard Archer told BANG Showbiz: "I think for this record we've gone back to enjoying music. Not that we didn't enjoy it before, but you know, when you make your first album you just think, oh I love this, let's just do it - you don't worry about anything.

"Our fans have been waiting a long time and we didn't want to put out anything a little half-arsed. We wanted something great, something as great as it could be. And we believe it is. We wouldn't put it out if we didn't."

Hard-Fi rose to fame with their 2005 debut album 'Stars of CCTV', but their second effort, 2007's 'Once Upon a Time in the West', was not as commercially successful.

Although 'Killer Sounds' is currently his favourite, he is, however, proud of all the band's albums.

Speaking at the T4 on the Beach festival in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday (10.07.11), he added: "I think it's the best thing we've done at the moment, I think it's got so many facets to it.

"I'm incredibly proud of our first two albums, there's bits on there that I think are brilliant. 'Watch me Fall Apart' is one of my favourite tracks on the second album. I think everything we do I'm very proud of but it's all different."
