Iggy And The Stooges complete new album recording
Entitled Ready To Die, it will represent the band's first album in six years, and it has been mixed by Ed Cherney and will feature a host of guests from the world of rock and roll including Tom Waits, Keith Richards and Patti Smith, Hitfix reports.
The 36-track double album will be on the Anti- label on February 18th and will see Iggy collaborate with a number of artists including Albuquerque duo A Hawk and a Hacksaw.
Speaking about the upcoming album, Cherney explained to the news provider: "It's old-time Stooges. It's raw. They're great songs, but not necessarily big choruses. They're the Antichrist of anthems. He [Iggy] knows what he wants to say. He's watching the world around him."
Following the release of Ready To Die in February, the band will then hit the road, first stopping off in Australia for three performances in March before visiting the likes of Croatia, Sweden and France over June and July.
There are currently no plans in the works for a stint in the UK.
