JLS named hardest-working band of 2012
Despite the amount of gigs not seeming like an awful lot, the Independent stated that the boyband scooped the award after topping the bill at more concerts than any other artist in the country.
It is the second year in a row that JLS have claimed the PRS for Music honour, which collects honours on behalf of songwriters, and fought off competition from the likes of Florence + The Machine, Olly Murs and Steps.
"We're delighted to once again be crowned the hardest-working band of the year. 2012 has been an awesome 12 months for us and it means a lot that so many of our fans have had a chance to see us perform live. Thanks again for the support and we look forward to doing more in 2013," JLS said.
Westlife claimed the runner-up slot in the rankings after playing 31 gigs over 2012 while One Direction, who experienced a successful year, only performed 12 shows in the UK.
JLS' last album, Evolution, reached number three in the UK Albums Chart.
