Jack White 'may play every instrument on solo album'
Electric guitar player Jack White may play every instrument on his solo album, which he plans to record in the near future.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the White Stripes star said he has thought about recording in this way before but has not actually done it yet.
"That might be the challenge, to differentiate from anything else that I've done," he commented.
If White does play every instrument on his solo album, he would be following in the footsteps of acts such as Paul Rodgers, John Fogerty and Paul McCartney, all of whom have recorded albums on their own in the past.
However, he admitted that his various other musical ventures could get in the way of him recording a solo album over the coming months.
"I honestly could be working on a White Stripes album in the next two weeks," he stated.
The band have so far notched up hits including Seven Nation Army, Hotel Yorba and Fell in Love With a Girl.Posted on 9 Jan 2010 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
