James Blake gets tough
The electro musician has been busy working on the follow-up to his self-titled debut, which was a resounding success commercially and critically.
"I don't feel more aggressive, it's just been ... it's just how I feel," he tried to explain in an interview with Spinner.
"In terms of writing more club tracks, writing more electronically influenced -- I feel like it was all electronically influenced, but now that influence has come to me in a different way."
Blake added that he had been producing a lot of instrumental music as well, suggesting that his vocals, though prominent, won't dominate the sound.
The musician also said he is looking to work with his good pal with Bon Iver again, which is a collaboration that has many people excited.
"I will be making sure that I visit him as much as possible when I'm in the US and I know that he'll be in London at some point as well," he said.
Blake was nominated for the Mercury Prize last year.
