James Morrison donates signed guitar to charity ball
The singer-songwriter was persuaded by a fundraiser to part with this Fender acoustic guitar and help to generate funds for good causes across the area, and it will be auctioned at upcoming events, Stroud News and Journal reports.
Melanie Wellings managed to get the guitar after successfully organising a fundraising event in February, when she hosted a Valentine's Ball in memory of her younger brother who had died from a heart attack 11 years before.
The event managed to collect a huge £6,000 for the British Heart Foundation and the donation of Morrison's guitar will help to boost interest in future events that take place in the area.
The singer-songwriter last released an album in 2011 with the launch of The Awakening and has a busy summer touring schedule with a number of festival appearances in mainland Europe already announced.
