Jamie Cullum gig premieres new Yamaha piano
Jamie Cullum has become the first person to play a new Yamaha piano on stage in Europe.
The jazz musician was given the honour of premiering the CF6 instrument in Europe during a sell-out concert in Stadtpark, Hamburg, on August 18th 2010.
Over 4,000 fans packed the open air concert where Cullum performed some of his hits and cover versions of Rihanna's Umbrella and Singin' in the Rain for his encore due to the torrential rain that soaked the concertgoers.
Yamaha's European director of pianos Mark Rolfe said: "Yamaha's CF concert grand instruments are respected and acclaimed at the very highest level and the new CFX and accompanying models are testament to our strong partnerships with many of the world's top pianists."
It offers the great sound of the standard instrument but comes in a vibrant shade of red.
