Jamie Cullum praises Korg Wavedrum
Solo star Jamie Cullum has come out in praise of the Korg Wavedrum.
A picture of the musician using the piece of equipment has been posted on Twitter, with Cullum explaining the Wavedrum is perfect for the way he works as it allows him to improvise while recording.
He has also been using the Korg electronic instrument during every gig of his current tour and said it lets him to create amazing sounds.
Cullum added he has made use of around 80 of the preset sounds that feature on the WaveDrum.
He said his recording process usually involves writing over drum beats and loops, which the Wavedrum is great for helping out with.
The Wavedrum has received much acclaim since it was released, winning Percussion Product of the Year 2010 in Rhythm Magazine and Music Radar.
Korg's original Wavedrum was released in 1994, and hailed for it's innovative design and performance possibilities.
The company claim the latest edition of the Wavedrum is "sonically richer, more sensitive, more powerful and expressive."
Cullum has three more gigs lined up during 2010, with shows scheduled to take place in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Paris during December.
He is also set to perform at a charity fundraiser in Margate on February 4th 2011.
