Jamie Cullum 'to take piano lessons in 2011'
Jamie Cullum may have made his name thanks in part to his abilities on the piano but the star has said he is aiming to improve his skills on the musical instrument during 2011.
Writing recently on his Terrified Studios blog, the star revealed that he has been taking singing lessons to help him cope better with the effects of a busy touring schedule on his voice.
He said the sessions had been helpful and will be continued in 2011, while they have also resulted in an ambition for him to start taking piano lessons once again for the first time in around 20 years.
"Voice lessons have inspired me to search deeper into the black and white keys and anyway it's high time I knew what the hell those dots are on the page," Cullum stated.
The musician has recently completed a tour of Europe, which saw him perform in front of fans in countries such as France, Holland and Germany during December.
His next gig is set to take place in Margate on February 4th and will be a charity fundraiser held at the town's Winter Gardens venue.
