Jay-Z nearly leaked himself
Jay-Z almost accidentally leaked his 'The Blueprint 3' album on the internet himself.
The US rapper - who released the album, his most recent, last September - admitted he worried the album could leak at any moment for months after accidentally leaving an iPod containing all the tracks on a plane.
He told Forbes.com: "The day I flew in from Hawaii, where 'The Blueprint 3' was largely recorded, I was doing some recording, and I had an iPod in my pocket on a commercial flight from Hawaii to New York. I had on jogging pants, and the iPod, with all the music I had recorded, went missing - it was on the plane somewhere.
"So every day I would wake up and check all the internet places, for like three months."
Luckily Jay's album was never leaked - however fellow hip-hop star Dr. Dre has not been so lucky, and the long awaited release of his forthcoming 'Detox' album has been beset by tracks leaked on the internet.
In response, Dre has now said he is revising the album and it will not feature any tracks which have already leaked on the internet.
He explained to SOHH.com: "It's no leaks that came out that are going on the record."Posted on 24 Sep 2010 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
