Jay-Z produces a song for his new baby girl
The rapper, clearly smitten with his baby girl, whom the couple have named Blue Ivy Carter, posted the track entitled Glory on his website Life and Times.
It's a powerful song and reveals that Beyonce once suffered a miscarriage when they were trying for a child.
One of the lyrics read: "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic."
The song also reveals that the baby was conceived in the romantic city of Paris.
News of the birth, which had, for a time, been subject to rumours of being fake to boost Beyonce's album sales, was revealed in a statement.
"Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. It was the best experience of both of our lives," the couple announced.
"We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."
