Jazz guitar festival comes to Wrexham
Taking place in, as the name of the festival suggests, Wrexham, there will be a plethora of guitars on show, so guitar fans are urged to keep an eagle eye on catching a Gibson guitar, Rickenbacker guitar and/or a Takamine guitar being strummed.
It is all part of the town's Year of Culture, an event devised to boost Wrexham's position as a tourist hotspot, as well as inject some valuable cash into the local economy.
The Brownfield/Byrne Quintet (BBQ) adopt a youthful and contemporary approach to bebop style music from the 40s and 50s.
This is followed up with the Gary Potter Trio, led by the eponymous man himself.
It's quite a scoop to have Potter, who is one of the world's most respected jazz and country guitarists.
He has been described by Humphrey Littleton from BBC Radio 2 Jazz as: "A talent and name to know and mark."
