Jeff Beck's Les Paul tribute shows coming to DVD
Beck played two dates at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York, the same venue that Paul performed at on a weekly basis in his older years.
During the concerts, Beck played his own versions of songs made famous by Paul, along with a number of classic tunes from the early years of rock 'n' roll, reports the Gibson Lifestyle blog.
The shows were captured on camera and the highlights will now be released under the title Jeff Beck: Rock 'N' Roll Party Honouring Les Paul on February 22nd.
Bonus features on the DVD include an interview with Beck and a look at his collection of his electric guitars.
The star is also taking his band on a series of further tribute gigs to Paul across the US in March and April, visiting cities such as Boston, New York, Chicago and San Francisco along the way.
Beck's last record Emotion and Commotion has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, including the Best Rock Album prize.
