Jessie J for Radio 2 Hyde Park gig
Jessie, who recently enjoyed chart success with Laserlight, will join Mick Hucknall from the band Simply Red (Fairground, Sunrise) for the BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park concert.
Guitar group Status Quo (Rain, Down Down) are likewise set to grace the event, the BBC says.
The head of music for the radio station 6 Music, as well as Radio 2, Jeff Smith, has commented that music is central to what Radio 2 is all about.
"Music is at the heart of Radio 2's output," he said, "and with more incredible artists to be announced in the coming weeks, there will be something for everyone at this year's Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park."
Jessie J is currently judging BBC singing programme The Voice, alongside It's Not Unusual crooner Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue from band The Script (Break Even, The Man Who Can't Be Moved) and Will.i.am from Where Is The Love group The Black Eyed Peas.
