Jethro Tull to go on the road
Rock's top flute player has confirmed his band Jethro Tull will undertake a UK tour later this year.
The veteran group will perform 23 dates across the country from March onwards.
According to frontman Ian Anderson, the setlist should include a few treats for hardcore fans, including music that has rarely or never been played in public before.
"We look forward to introducing some of this material to the setlist in 2010 along with some of the tried and trusty favourites," he commented.
Anderson added that the band have dug a few unusual musical instruments out of the "rusty skip" to add variety and depth to the gigs.
Jethro Tull was founded in 1967, with hits such as Living in the Past and Bungle in the Jungle showcasing their unique mix of rock, folk, jazz and classical music.
The tour will get underway on March 5th 2010 in Northampton, before calling at cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, York and Glasgow.Posted on 15 Jan 2010 11:12 to category : Band / Celebrity News
